Neurologist Chalandri / I graduated from the Lyceum of Polichnitou Lesvos in June 1991 with an “Excellent” diploma. I was admitted to the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1992, from where I graduated during the examination period of June 1998 and took the oath in 1998 with a degree “Very Good”. I was a scholarship holder throughout the student period following excellence.
After being selected by the First Pre-Educational Surgery Clinic of the University of Athens at the Hippocrates Hospital, I participated in a surgical training program at the Glenfield Hospital of Leicester, in the city of Leicester, England, for one month in 1996. There I attended a conference with international participation on the current therapeutic methods in lung cancer (2nd Lung Cancer Conference).
I speak English and French and have attended Medical Terminology courses at the Hellenic American Association (Certificate of Attendance in Medical Terminology).
I served as a rural doctor at the Kalloni Health Center of Lesvos since 1998.
I was a Specialist Pathologist at the 1st Pathology Clinic of Mytilini University Hospital “Bostanio” and then I got a 6-month extension at the Pulmonology Department, where I practiced in pulmonology cases.
I worked for 6 months at the Athens Mental Hygiene Center, in the Social Psychiatry Service as a specialist psychiatrist. Afterwards, I was a specialist in the Neurological Clinic of the “Evangelismos” Hospital from the 100th of 2003 until the 30th of 2008. During my specialization I attended a series of neurological conferences with active participation in the preparation and presentation of works of the Hospital’s Neurological Clinic.
I hold a PhD thesis, with an excellent grade, on the topic: “Study of neurological manifestations in patients with plasma cell dyscrasias as a result of manifestation of the underlying disease or neurotoxic treatment”
From 20/10/2008 until 29/11/2011 (3 years) I held the position of Assistant Curator of Neurology at the Neurological Clinic of NIMTS Hospital, actively participating in the training of medical specialists both in practice and at a theoretical level. I have been a private Neurologist in Chalandri since 2011 and a scientific associate at the Neurological Clinic of NIMTS and Athens Medical Center (Psychic Clinic) until today.
