Who am I…..
Born in 1977, originally from Kozani, I graduated from the Medical School of the AUTH in 2002. After my agricultural tenure in the Prefecture of Kozani, in 2004 I started the specialty of Pediatrics at the General Hospital of Polygyros, Halkidiki, then I worked for 2 years as a scientific associate at the university P.D. clinic of the Alexandroupolis Hospital where I prepared my doctoral thesis in Pediatric Nephrology. In 2007 I moved to Great Britain where I worked in various London hospitals such as University College Hospital, Royal London, Central Middlesex, but also at Ipswich General Hospital, Luton District Hospital, St Peter’s Hospital-Kent, where I gained extensive experience in general pediatrics, in the neonatal intensive care unit, in pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric hematology, pediatric pulmonology, etc., within the framework of the National Training Number (National Training System of Great Britain) where I managed to join. I completed the specialty of Paediatrics at the “Papageorgiou” Hospital of Thessaloniki after the corresponding exams in 2011. Then I worked as an (assistant) supervisor of Pediatrics and Neonates at the General Hospital of Larissa for 1 year, while since September 2013 I have maintained my private clinic in the center of Thessaloniki. I was certified as an IBCLC (International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants) breastfeeding consultant in 2013, while I hold a PGDPN (Post Graduate Diploma in Pediatric Nutrition) from Boston University, Massachuwetts, USA (2016). I also hold APLS (Advanced Pediatric Life Support) and NLS (Neonatal Life Support) CPR diplomas. in children and neonates respectively. I speak English, Spanish, Italian and German. For many years I have been an active member of Doctors of the World participating in numerous missions in various regions of Greece and recently a volunteer pediatrician at the Social Clinic in the Center of Thessaloniki because I absolutely believe in solidarity, the social sensitization of the individual and the active participation of all of us in groups so that this world can become a better place for our children. My goal was and still is to be able to offer all these knowledge and experiences that I gained from all these years of my education and work in Greece and abroad on a more personal level now in closer and timeless relationships with my young patients and parents them, in bonds of care and love for all these babies, many of whom I know from their fetal life, for my breastfeeding and non-mothers who are traveling together in the amazing and extremely difficult journey of parenthood…
